Craft Beer & Breweries
The best way to experience a craft beer is straight from the source where you can usually talk with the brewer and try brews not found anywhere else. They will almost always have some merchandise to sell, so I also typically buy a pint glass to take part of the experience home with me.
When I can't make it to a brewery, I try to find a new seasonal craft beer at the grocery store or liquor store to continue to broaden my craft beer expertise.
Coffee & Cocktails
While Starbucks is a pleasant and convenient venue for coffee, my love of coffee extends far into unique cafe experiences and exploring a wide variety of roasts, blends, and styles.
The occasional, amazing cocktail, speakeasy, or distillery is sure to make it into my adventures as well. Distilleries are a fun and affordable way of trying a variety of spirits and some cocktails are a work of art in their preparation and blend of flavors.
World Travels & Food
My travels are not solely for the purpose of tasting beer (although I will try to visit at least 1 local brewery anywhere I go), but also to soak in the culture and history of the region, including the unique flavors of each location. With each city and country comes new and exciting cuisine to experience.
Passion for Craft Beer
I started this blog with the sole intention of providing a fun and interesting page for fellow craft beer lovers. I wanted to take something that I loved and share it with the world.
I have tried over 500 unique beers and visited over 75 different breweries including over 15 outside of the United States. I was crowned Brew Queen for the Texas Renaissance Festival in 2018 for naming their seasonal ale All Ale the King and have placed 3rd in an amateur mead-making competition that utilized muscadine wine.
The blog has expanded to include more than just craft beer. It now encompasses wineries, meaderies, and distilleries, along with the food, fun, and stories that were experienced at each new location. I hope to broaden this even further as the blog develops and grows, but never forgetting the craft beer community from which it started.
